After the withdrawal from Kherson, the Russians reportedly designated the port of Henichesk as the new capital of the occupied region

This Tuesday, the intelligence service of the British Ministry of Defense published its daily update on the conflict in Ukraine.

The choice of Henichesk is explained because the city “is well located to coordinate actions both against potential Ukrainian threats coming from Kherson, in the West, or from Melitopol in the North-East, but also to receive reinforcements from Crimea. Moreover, it is currently out of reach of the Ukrainian artillery, which has inflicted a lot of damage against the Russian command”, assure the British.
