After having each performed on the Star Ac set, the 13 candidates climb aboard the bus in the direction of the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys. A little novelty this year: an “old”, Karima Charni, took place on board with them to collect their impressions…
AND JULIEN FINISH!
The Toulonnais Julien is the last candidate to enter the track this evening. A bit offhand according to his relatives, he has “full of charm this kid”, assures Michael Goldman. Surprise: he is the brother of Mathieu Canaby, former Star Ac candidate. On stage he performs “To be a man like you”, the song from the “Jungle Book”.
PLACE IN ENOLA
Enola is the candidate that Nikos came to surprise on the set of “Dancing with the Stars” a few weeks ago… This Bordelaise has been singing since she was very young. She dreams of “dying on stage” like Dalida. A perfectionist, she “thinks she has the talent and the tools to carry out the competition.” On the set she performs “Voilà” by Barbara Pravi.
THE RETURN OF JENIFER
20 years after being revealed by the “Star Academy”, Jenifer comes to perform on the set of emotion. A moving reunion for Nikos. “I love him so much!”, Says the host. The singer performs a medley of her greatest hits. “My revolution”, “In the sun”, “Give me time”, “I’m waiting for love”… It brings back memories, doesn’t it?
AND NOW AHCENE
He comes from Charleville-Mézières. The radiant Ahcène began with opera singing before moving on to pop. No one in his family is into music. And the young candidate does not want to disappoint her. On stage, he sings “Ain’t no sunshine” by Bill Withers. At ease, warm, he delivers one of the most accomplished performances of the evening. A potential outsider?
CENZO ON TRACK
He is Cenzo. He is 22 years old, he was born in Tahiti where he started singing before settling in Bordeaux. As a child, he took dance lessons and imitated Michael Jackson to perfection. On stage, he comes to interpret “As it was” by Harry Styles. If he loves doing the show, Cenzo still has work to do on the singing side…
SERGE LAMA AS GUEST
Nice surprise for Anisha, Serge Lama congratulates the young candidate in duplex. “Tonight I had a wonderful time,” admits this sacred monster of French song.
ANISHA ON STAGE
She left Madagascar at the age of 15 after her baccalaureate to settle in France. “Music is a weapon, as if I were a warrior,” explains the young candidate who experienced difficult times during her childhood. On stage she sings “I’m sick” by Serge Lama… And it’s the most incredible performance of the evening. Powerful, overwhelming, inhabited, Anisha broke our hearts. All trembling, she seems to have trouble realizing the strength of her performance.
AND HERE IS TIANA!
Tiana, 18, is the youngest candidate of the season. And it was Nikos himself who came to announce her home in Seine-et-Marne. Yet another emotional sequence. “Usually, I see Nikos on TV in my living room. And there I eat spaghetti and he is there in my kitchen”. We love. She sings “Until the end” by Amel Bent and Imen Es.
CARLA AND CHRIS AS A DUO
The first is a trained dancer, he has always been a singer. She’s 23, he’s 28. Carla and Chris are singing a duet tonight on the burning “Senorita” by Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes.
ROOM FOR LOUIS!
The young candidate from a village in Lot-et-Garonne cried with joy when he discovered that he had been accepted in the promotion of Star Ac 2022. Normal, it was the show that triggered his passion for music when he was very young. “I was criticized a lot when I was younger,” explains the candidate who is counting on the show to assume himself as he is. On set Louis bursts into tears with his comrades. “When we talk about the Star Ac family, I really understand why!”. U.S. too. Where are the handkerchiefs?
On stage, Louis performs “Another world” from Telephone, in a beautifully re-orchestrated version…
PAOLA AND AMISE TOGETHER
They did not know each other before joining Star Ac. Paola and Amisse will perform as a duo for their first appearance on the show’s stage. The first is a ball of energy who has been taking singing lessons since the age of 8, the second an autodidact who has tested her vocal abilities on the platforms of Parisian stations. Together they sing “The Last Days of Disco” by Juliette Armanet.
AND NOW STANISLAS
He comes from Vannes, in Brittany. He is a fan of Sinatra and of the great American musicals like “West Side Story”. Stanislas, 24, begins this evening by interpreting “The Playboys” by Jacques Dutronc. Its goal ? To honor his grandfather whom he has cared for since he suffered a stroke.
LÉA ON STAGE
She is the first contestant to perform on stage tonight. Léa, 24, is an optician in Paris. She runs her own boutique in the 20th arrondissement. “I have a warrior character,” admits the young woman who dreams of being the Star Ac diva. “The girl who has a voice of phew and who can sing everything”, assures this fan of Beyoncé. And that’s good because she performs her hit, “Listen”…
