As soon as the ticket sales started, numerous concerts of the tour of the band Die Ärzte were already sold out. Now there are two additional dates: The setting is Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin.

Immediately after the rapid sell-out of many concerts for the newly announced tour, the Berlin punk rock band The Doctors (“Noise”, “Scream for Love”, “Too Late”) followed two large open-air events in the capital.

Drummer Bela B (60), guitarist Farin Urlaub (59) and bassist Rodrigo “Rod” González (55) want to rock twice in August next year at Tempelhofer Feld, the area of the former airport.

For August 23rd and 24th, 2024, the self-proclaimed “Best Band in the World” announced two concerts entitled “OMG die ärzte LOL”. The English abbreviations stand for “Oh my God” (“Oh my God”) and “Laughing out loud” (“laughing out loud”).

Similarly self-deprecating, the band announced 24 concerts from August to October 2023 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Sunday after a good four decades on stage as the “Autumn of Life” tour. The start is on August 29th and 30th in Vienna. Like most of the other concerts, the Berlin performances on this tour (September 13/14) were sold out just a few minutes after they went on sale.

Last year, Die Ärzte and the Düsseldorf punk rock band Die Toten Hosen tested a special ecological circular economy with open-air performances on the Tempelhofer Feld. Now it was said that the doctors were “serious about this “sustainability” and wasting drastically less resources and climate at their concerts in Tempelhof”. The doctors start advance sales for the two open-air concerts on August 28th.
