LIVE – Kawasaki Frontale-PSG: Messi lucky scorer, Kalimuendo seizes his chance and doubles the bet

Paris plays at being scared

The Parisians are playing with fire to want to raise short. Matsui takes advantage and Sergio Rico deflects for a corner.

Schmidt close to scoring an own goal

On a cross from Icardi in the area, Joao Schmidt comes close to deceiving his own goalkeeper. But the deflection of the Brazilian ends on the post of Kawasaki. The score does not change.

Icardi still in check

Still well served at the entrance to the area, Mauro Icardi plays it a little too easy with a dive attempt. It’s safe for the Kawasaki keeper. PSG still lead 2-0 in this friendly match.

Letellier not used

Only one player did not come into play on the PSG side: Alexandre Letellier, third goalkeeper, remains on the bench.

Kawasaki regains control of the ball

For five minutes, Kawasaki has been playing higher and has been passing passes. If Paris is not too worried, the rhythm and the lack of automatisms of the entrants limit the spectacle a little at the end of the match.

Icardi stumbles on Jung

Served by Sarabia in the area but slightly eccentric, Mauro Icardi tries his luck without control. The Argentinian strike is well repelled by the Kawasaki Frontale goalkeeper. Still 2-0 for Paris.

Kalimuendo’s goal on video

And if it was already the Galtier paw in action. Big collective movement of the PSG and clinical finish of the titi Kalimuendo. A goal to taste on video.

New round of changes for Paris

Messi, Vitinha, Donnarumma, Ramos and Marquinhos leave the pitch.

Sergio Rico, Icardi, Danilo, Kehrer and the young Zaire-Emery entered the lawn. Big workforce review for Galtier and PSG.

Marquinhos’ header misses the target

Coming to cut a corner at the near post, Marquinhos saw his attempt pass in front of the goal.

Kalimuendo at the conclusion of a nice collective movement

After a nice move on the left side between Lionel Messi and Juan Bernat, Arnaud Kalimuendo finishes the job. Nice goal for PSG. It’s 2-0!

Changes for Kawasaki

The Japanese club’s turn to make several other changes after the exits of Tono and Damiao at halftime. In sight during the first act, Marcinho leaves his place to his compatriot Joao Schmidt.

Nice stop from Donnarumma

Just say that for the Japanese to get a great opportunity. Donnarumma deflects well the shot from Tatsuki Seko entered at the break in place of Tono.

A quiet return to the game, the pace drops a little

The game resumed at a slightly more leisurely pace.

No big chance for PSG as the Kawasaki Frontale saw its only attempt go far above the cages of Gigio Donnarumma.

Nuno Mendes is replaced by Juan Bernat while Dina-Ebimbe replaces Hakimi as right piston. Abdou Diallo replaced Presnel Kimpembe in defense.

Paris in front at the break thanks to Messi

It’s halftime and PSG are leading one to zero against the Kawasaki Frontale. Sole scorer of the meeting for the moment, Lionel Messi came to concretize a good first act of the Parisians.

This first match of the tour in Japan started on a good rhythm and the two teams put on a nice show. But for the moment Paris is in front (1-0). It now remains to be seen whether Christophe Galtier will change his entire eleven after the break.

Messi misses the break point

On a beautiful counter initiated by Achraf Hakimi, Neymar had the choice between Lionel Messi on the right and Kylian Mbappé on the left. The Brazilian served La Pulga but the Argentinian missed his sequence and the Kawasaki defense quietly cleared.

Messi’s goal on video

Lionel Messi scored his first goal of the preseason. A lucky achievement which rewards the Argentinian’s good start to the match in his role as number 10.

Ramos’ head…next

On a corner taken by two between Messi and Mbappé, the center of the French arrives on the head of Sergio Ramos at the far post. Despite a good dive, the Spaniard can not fit.

Goal by Messi, first goal of the preparation for the Pulga

Just after a repelled shot on Messi’s line, Achraf Hakimi signs a nice discount for La Pulga. The Argentinian’s shot is deflected and finished in the back of the net. 1-0 for Paris.

Messi’s shot saved on the line

Lionel Messi eliminates the goalkeeper with a superb hook but sees his strike being pushed back on the line by a defender.

Jung’s huge double save in front of Mbappé

Mbappé sends a mine with his left foot but Sung-Ryong Jung deflects. In the aftermath, the French striker takes over but the Korean goalkeeper of Kawazaki Frontale is still there to deflect for a corner.

Messi with the stick

If Lionel Messi plays well in number 10 in support of the attackers, Kylian Mbappé seems to be dropping a lot towards the left side rather than staying in the axis with Neymar. However, this is where the Frenchman’s big opportunity came from.

Marcinho accelerates again

Taking advantage of the very high placement of Hakimi, Marcinho tumbles on the left wing. Caught up, Sergio Ramos is unable to block the Brazilian from Kawasaki. Fortunately Vitinha comes back well and prevents Kento Tachibanada’s strike.

Kawasaki is a little dangerous

After a nice strike from Akihiro Ienaga, Kawasaki benefits from a corner. Donnarumma captures and secures the defense of PSG.

Mbappé in check against the goalkeeper

Found by Neymar at the entrance to the area, Kylian Mbappé saw his shot well repelled by Sung-Ryong Jung. Nice reaction from PSG after the Marcinho alert just before.

Marcinho does not fit

Launched at the limit of offside in the left lane, Marcinho hits a big sprint. But the Brazilian opens his foot too much and his shot misses wide.

The Neymar-Mbappé-Messi trio is in the opposing area

After a few exchanges in the Japanese area between Neymar, Mbappé and Messi it is finally Achraf Hakimi who strikes. The Moroccan defender’s shot is diverted for a corner. This gives nothing but Paris in this first quarter of an hour.

Neymar shoots the first shot of the match

Neymar is the first to shine in this meeting. The Brazilian slams a nice shot but the Korean Sung-Ryong Jung deflects well.

Very mobile donnarumma

On a new counter from Kawasaki, Gianluigi Donnarumma left his area and warded off the danger. The Italian goalkeeper is already on the pace.

Kimpembe already in good shape

Big comeback from Kimpembe. After Vitinha lost the ball in the midfield, Leandro Damiao found himself at the entrance to the area but saw Presnel Kimpembe sign a big tackle to ward off the danger.

Paris takes control of the ball

PSG are looking to take control of the ball. But Kylian Mbappé seems to have taken a little hit and limps slightly. But in the process the attacker places an acceleration and crosses. It is safe for the Japanese goalkeeper.

Let’s go !

The meeting begins. Note that Kawasaki has a certain Leandro Damiao at the forefront of his attack.

A former great hope of Brazilian football, the now 32-year-old striker was once mentioned at PSG several years ago.
