In a report published this midday, the Pas-de-Calais prefecture announces that precipitation is expected this afternoon.

“5 to 10 mm this afternoon, 15 mm overnight from Sunday to Monday, 15 mm during the day Monday and 10 mm in the coastal basins on Tuesday,” she specifies.

“This rain will fall on soils which are saturated and could cause the level of watercourses to rise again, which remain very reactive,” adds the prefecture.

The prefect of Pas-de-Calais decides to keep schools closed on Monday and Tuesday in 279 municipalities.

In detail, “public and private educational establishments will be closed, namely nurseries (with the exception of hospital nurseries), nursery schools, primary schools, middle schools and high schools located in the 279 municipalities listed in the “prefectural decree in annex until Tuesday November 14 inclusive”, specifies the prefecture, in a new situation update, this midday.

1,272 homes without electricity

800 homes were also without electricity: 350 were in Boulonnais, 200 in Audomarois and 50 in Montreuillois. Finally, 5,000 customers were cut off from mobile telephony and 2,800 from fixed telephony and internet.
