Live. Farmers leave the A47, the day of action ends in the Loire

Valentine Darmedru is a farmer in Saint-Maurice-sur-Dargoire, in the Gier valley. It produces organic sheep cheese. What is complicated for her, on a daily basis, are “the standards, the controls, the administration”.

She notes that prices remain low while charges increase: “We sell locally but we cannot increase our prices as we want, compared to other European countries, which is unfair. »

For her, the consumer mentality must evolve: “There, everyone tells us “well done farmers”, but then many want to eat cheaply. We have to question ourselves. »

On the differences in vision between agricultural unions, she simply notes: “We all have an interest in French agriculture continuing. »
