SLOVAKIA IMPOSES CONTAINMENT FOR THE NON-VACCINATED
“It is a containment for the unvaccinated,” Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger said on television on Thursday.
From Monday and for three weeks, Slovakia, with 5.5 million inhabitants, will impose more severe restrictions on unvaccinated people following the explosion of contaminations, amounting to 8,000 cases on Tuesday.
During this period, only people vaccinated or cured of Covid-19 in the last six months will be able to go to restaurants, shops, sports halls and public events.
Slovakia has one of the lowest vaccination rates in Europe, with 45% of its population fully vaccinated, compared to 65% on average in the continent.
