DANIELLe simonnet denounces “a purge” at lfi
Danielle Simonnet, outgoing MP for the 15th constituency of Paris, is the guest of the RTL morning show. She was not nominated by the party to represent the new Popular Front in the legislative elections.
“I found out about it from just a very cold email,” she says. “Not even a phone call,” she laments. “It’s a purge, in fact,” she says. “Jean-Luc Mélenchon prefers to purge those who, in this very undemocratic movement, took it upon themselves to open it.” She regrets “endangering the dynamics of the Popular Front”.
“It’s a purge of the 5 deputies (…) who for months, internally, in the France insoumise group, let’s not stop saying to stop this sectarian strategy vis-à-vis the partners, let’s stop seek to cleave for the sake of cleaving.”
