Once the topic of homelessness, once the topic of the poet portrait of Paul Celan: this year’s television awards LiteraVision went to Laura Beck in the short film category for the contribution “Markus Ostermair: Der Sandler” (BR) and in the long film category to Susanne Ayoub for her film essay “Antschel – Paul Celan zu sein 100.stage” (ORF). The prizes are endowed with 8,000 euros each and are awarded every two years for television programs that provide information about fiction books or authors in an exemplary manner. 40 filmmakers from German-speaking countries had applied with 53 contributions. The nominated films were screened and discussed at a public jury meeting over two days during the Munich Literature Festival.
