The 21-year-old twins Lisa and Lena Mantler are among the most successful German stars on Instagram and Tiktok. On Saturday, they announced in a video that they will go their separate ways in the future.
Dhe internet stars Lisa and Lena Mantler (21) want to go their separate ways in social networks in the future. The twins explained their decision in a joint video that was commented on on Instagram on the accounts of the two thousands until Saturday noon. Several media had previously reported about it.
As Lisa said, “We knew we weren’t going to work together for the rest of our lives. Now it’s just time that we each go our own ways.” Lena asked: “Can we actually separate if you start as a duo?” She also added: “Of course it’s a bit sad. But we haven’t done the typical Lisa and Lena videos for a long time.”
The twins are among the most successful German stars on Instagram and Tiktok. The last shared Instagram account followed by around 20 million users. In the meantime, the profile has been assigned to Lena. Lisa in turn followed at Instagram around 260,000 users, a joint account without content 340,000. At Tiktok, the joint account recently had 13.4 million followers.
According to “Stuttgarter Nachrichten”, the twins with distinctive blonde hair grew up in the Stuttgart region and became known as teenagers with videos on social media a few years ago. In the meantime, however, they have also been present outside of the platforms for a long time. In recent years, Lisa and Lena have appeared more often on television. On Kika, they led, among other things, through the program “TickTack Zeitreise mit Lisa & Lena”. At the end of June her first film “get up” was released, in which the two main roles play.
The identical twins found fame practically overnight at the age of 13 on the video platform Musical.ly, which later became Tiktok. According to a report in the “Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin”, the 21-year-olds left school in the ninth grade because a lot of money could be made from the videos.
Lisa posted various posts about her wedding to a young man named Jonas on Instagram in the spring. “I am very grateful to be your wife today,” she said in a video compilation. Her sister Lena commented on her private life in the German edition of “Vogue” at the end of May: “For a long time I thought I only liked men, then that I only wanted to date women. I’m just finding out for myself. I just want to find someone to live my life with.”
