As part of the 20th anniversary of the album “Meteora”, Linkin Park are releasing a previously unreleased song, sung by Chester Bennington, who passed away in 2017.

Linkin Park have been on indefinite hiatus since the death of their singer Chester Bennington in 2017. Nevertheless, the band around Mike Shinoda has released a new song.

The song is titled “Lost” and was released on February 10th. It is a “never heard song from the ‘Meteora’ archives”, says an Instagram post.

So “Lost” was created during the recording of the second Linkin Park studio album “Meteora”. With the hashtag #Meteora20, the band also hints that the song will now appear to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album.

The song was clicked tens of thousands of times shortly after it appeared on YouTube:

Loud the music website “NME” fans had recently speculatedthat the band could re-release an expanded version of the album as part of the anniversary. The record includes hits like “Numb” and “Breaking the Habit”.

Meteora was released in 2003, a few days after Chester Bennington’s birthday. The singer committed suicide in July 2017 at the age of 41. In addition to his wife Talinda, he also survived their son Tyler Lee and twin daughters Lila and Lily. From previous relationships, Bennington had three other children, including an adopted son.
