Cause of accident still unclear
According to the police, the tram line 5 with the destination Bad Dürrenberg jumped off the tracks in the Klausbrücke curve towards Hallmarkt.
The Klausbrücke and the Hallorenring are closed at the accident site. Lines 2, 5 and 10 will be diverted from Markt.
In the afternoon, the police said they were checking whether the train could be pulled away. If not, it must be removed. It is not yet clear how long the work will take in total.
The cause of the accident and the damage to the vehicle would have to be determined.
