Like Christelle Morançais, the bosses want “things to move”

Three days after the president of the regional council of Pays-de-la-Loire, it is the turn of the employers’ organizations of the region to express their anger this Friday at the slowness of the redevelopment from Nantes-Atlantique airport. “Now things have to move”, demand the Medef and the CPME in an open letter addressed to the State, co-signed by Wings for the Westthe association having long campaigned for the transfer of the platform to Notre-Dame-des-Landes.

“More than 5 years after the government’s first announcement, inaction and vagueness dominate. It is a real bad blow that the State deals to our territory, ”they are annoyed.

A “deep contempt”

“Waiting means taking the risk of permanently hampering our economic development throughout our territory. It means taking the risk of downgrading our entire territory. It is wasting precious time in the environmental transition”, denounce the bosses, calling on the State to “respect its commitments and to act”. Tuesday, Christelle Morançais (ex LR) had deplored the feeling of a ” profound contempt for a territory who refuses to be doubly condemned by the abandonment and inaction of the State in this case”.

The project for a new Notre-Dame-des-Landes airport was abandoned on January 17, 2018 by the government of Edouard Philippe. The latter then undertook to modernize and expand Nantes-Atlantique airport.
