This time, it feels like a permanent breakup. After years of tense negotiations and harsh public declarations, nothing seems to be able to reconcile Paris Saint-Germain and Paris City Hall. This Thursday, on the sidelines of a UEFA congress, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi announced that his club was preparing to leave the Parc des Princes. At the start of the week, the Paris council confirmed that the stadium belonged to “the City’s heritage”, putting a definitive end to the hypothesis of a sale to the reigning French champion entity.

Visibly annoyed by the decision of the Paris City Hall, after several years of negotiations which ended up being interrupted a year and a half ago, “NAK” therefore chose to strike hard. The Parisian president announced meetings urgently with all the teams concerned to adopt a new plan, while putting an end to the work financed by the club to develop the enclosure.
