Ligue 1 – OL: Laurent Blanc could be sacked without reaction against PSG

One point in three games for two goals scored, and nothing in content. This is how to sum up the start of the season for Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1. Not really what was expected as a rebound after a last exercise concluded in an unworthy seventh place. After a chaotic preparation in terms of results, OL displayed a certain regularity… in mediocrity. And inevitably, it is the most obvious lever that could be activated first.

The summer transfer window is not even over that Laurent Blanc would indeed already be threatened. According to information from L’Equipe, the Cévennes technician fried almost all of his cartridges in the eyes of John Textor, who had already thought of parting with them this summer but had given him a chance after a more successful return phase in terms of of results. The daily tells us that if his OL does not radically change its face on Sunday evening against PSG, the former coach of the Blues will have a good chance of not going through the international break.

Bruno Lage still quoted

Suffice to say that given the current dynamics of OL, and the unfavorable circumstances with which Blanc has to deal – difficulty in concluding certain transfers, suspension of Alexandre Lacazette, injuries to Anthony Lopes and Dejan Lovren – Paris, which rises on its side in power, has on paper a boulevard to push the Rhone club and its technician.

If the 2009 French champion with Bordeaux were to be ejected, OL could well tinker at first. The idea, already mentioned several times, would indeed be to wait until Bruno Lage, coach of the Eagle Football galaxy who is leading Botafogo to the title in Brazil, reaches the end of his contract in December and then joins the Rhône. An interim solution would then have to be found by then. The truce could be very rough in Lyon.
