Developers of Bitcoin’s Lightning Network have worked on major bug fixes. This can lead to downtime of some nodes.
The amendment came after a user, identified as Bitmatrix founder Burak Keceli, made 998 of 999 multi-signature Taproot transactions, transactions that required 998 private key signatures to send bitcoin. An unusually large number of signers, and the Lightning node cannot handle multisig transactions of that size.

Keceli made a similar transaction last month. causing a similar problem for the network. Even if it’s caused by a few different bugs.
Keceli already knew their transactions would disrupt the network. But instead of revealing the security vulnerabilities with a disclosure method known as CVE, which stands for Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, Keceli continued the transaction.
Lightning Network is a Layer 2 network designed to avoid Bitcoin’s slow transaction speeds and high fees. Users can port their bitcoins to Lightning and transact with each other through payment gateways at a much lower cost than on the mainstream.
