In Paris, opening of the first reception center for the most vulnerable LGBT +

A reception center for the most stigmatized LGBT + people was inaugurated on Tuesday in the Marais, a gay district of Paris, a first in France, according to the City. Located at 22, rue Malher, in premises belonging to the town hall, La Bulle will welcome people during the day. “the most vulnerable, the most invisible within the LGBTQI+ minority (…) economically precarious, exiled, racialized, trans, HIV-positive people, victims of violence”details the City in a press releaseadding to have invested 540,000 euros in the building.

La Bulle will be managed by seven associations: Ardhis, which helps LGBT+ asylum seekers, OUTrans, a trans feminist association, as well as ANKH (Arab Network for Knowledge about Human Rights), Espace santé trans, Flirt, Wassla and XY media.

In addition to free legal and social services, users will have access to health professionals, psychologists, as well as training or French lessons.

“Today, exiled people and trans people are targeted and discriminated against. It is also a place where we will produce data to give visibility to these audiences who are victims of racism and sexism, including within the LGBT community.explained Aude Le Moullec-Rieu, president of Ardhis.

According to the OUTrans association, La Bulle will also make it easier to organize the discussion groups it sets up for trans people as well as for trans minors and their parents.
