Farewell to touring “for the foreseeable future”

After the problems at the performance in Glastonbury: Lewis Capaldi withdraws from touring for the time being.
Lewis Capaldi (26) finally pulls the ripcord. The singer said goodbye to touring after his appearance in Glastonbury, during which he once again struggled with a Tourette’s attack and voice problems. At least for now. On his The Scot announced the move on his Instagram account. He describes it as the “hardest decision of my life”.
First of all, he thanks his fans for the support in Glastonbury and for the messages he received afterwards. “It really means everything to me.” At the famous festival, Capaldi sometimes lost his voice, the crowd continued to sing for him.

Then Lewis Capaldi announces that he will “take a break from touring for the foreseeable future”. Even before Glastonbury he had interrupted his tour for three weeks to be fit for the festival.
“But the truth is I’m still learning to adjust to the effects of my Tourette’s Syndrome,” the singer-songwriter wrote. “On Saturday I realized that if I’m going to be able to do what I love for a long time to come, I need to spend a lot more time getting my mental and physical health in order.”
Capaldi would like to thank his fans, friends, families and medical staff – for their support in good times and especially in bad ones like now. He feels sorry for all the followers who wanted to see him live until the end of the year. “But I have to feel comfortable to be able to play at the level you deserve,” said the musician. “I’ll be back as soon as I can,” he concluded his statement.
Lewis Capaldi already canceled concerts in March of this year, and gigs in Germany were also affected. At that time, bronchitis slowed him down. In addition to the Tourette nervous disorder, Capaldi also suffers from psychological problems, such as panic attacks and imposter syndrome. In doing so, people believe that they do not deserve their success and will soon be exposed as scammers.
