Gesine Cukrowski sits in her old Berlin apartment and speaks into her computer – it’s a shame that you can’t meet in person, she says. The 52-year-old actress is, however, one of those people with whom you already have the feeling that you already know them personally. After all, you often see her face on TV. For years she has been recognized on the street and addressed by fans by the name of her series character. But being well known doesn’t necessarily mean big money in your industry.
