Amira Pocher has become a fixture in the German media landscape thanks to her honest and direct manner, and not just because she is married to a celebrity. Her husband danced on “Let’s Dance” in 2019 and flew out on show eight. Amira should be able to easily top that.

who is Amira Pocher? She is Austrian by birth, born in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. Dancing has been a part of Amira’s life since she was a child, as her mother runs a dance studio for oriental dance. Amira Pocher, née Aly, has two older brothers. Her father is Egyptian, her mother Austrian. She met her father again in 2018 after 20 years of no contact. She grew up with her mother and always had problems with her stepfather. So bad that her parents even sent Amira Aly to a crisis intervention center for six months when she was 15. In 2014 she came to Germany, worked as a make-up artist and hairstylist, even backstage at “Let’s Dance”. She met her current husband, comedian Oliver Pocher, on Tinder in 2016. The relationship was secret until the end of 2019 and Oliver Pocher introduced the new woman at his side as his assistant until then.
The biggest success: Amira Pocher is now a fixture in the German media. Starting with a podcast by the couple “Die Pochers hier”, which they have been running successfully since April 2020 to this day, to several television shows as a presenter, to live events in connection with the podcast and their own fashion line called TGTHER, everything is included. In addition, Amira Pocher now has her own podcast “Hey Amira” and moderates the celebrity and lifestyle TV format “Prominent!”.

- Amira Pocher speaks openly in her formats about fears and also about mistakes that she has made in life. She can look back on a probably very toxic ex-boyfriend and openly says that she suffers from fear of flying and panic attacks.
- The Pochers’ house was also hit by the flood disaster in 2021. Among other things, Amira Pocher lost her wedding dress in the flood damage, which she wanted to keep as a souvenir. Since the flood, their house has been uninhabitable and is being renovated, so the family moved to Pietro Lombardi’s house. He offered them accommodation and has been staying in hotels ever since.
- Amira Pocher is very involved in the areas of animal welfare and the protection of children, especially when it comes to showing children on the internet. In their formats, she and her husband repeatedly point out the dangers that photos of children can quickly end up on child pornographic sites on the Internet.
