Corona continues to cause failures on “Let’s Dance”. Now it has also caught professional dancer Renata Lusin. The 34-year-old is missing from show five. A replacement has already been found.

Professional dancer Renata Lusin tested positive for the corona virus and will be canceled for the upcoming “Let’s Dance” show on Friday. Her dance partner Mathias Mester, on the other hand, is negative, she said in a video message on Instagram. A replacement for Lusin has already been found: Patricija Ionel will appear with Mester.

The 27-year-old was originally the dance partner of actor Hardy Krüger Jr. However, he also fell ill with Corona and therefore had to leave the show. After that, Ionel stood in for the dancer Malika Dzumaev, who was also infected, and danced in one episode with actor Timur Ülker – who later also belonged to the Corona sufferers.

Corona infections overshadow “Let’s Dance”

Since the start of the new season in February, several celebrities and professional dancers have tested positive. Circus artist René Casselly is currently infected. He will not be on the show next Friday. A replacement also had to be found for “Let’s Dance” presenter Daniel Hartwich. Instead of him, moderator Jan Köppen will be seen alongside Victoria Swarovski. The broadcaster announced this after Hartwich was infected with the corona virus.

The current “Let’s Dance” season is continuously overshadowed by Corona. Juror Joachim Llambi had to fit in the opening show. In the following weeks, politician Caroline Bosbach, dancer Kathrin Menzinger and Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein with her dance partner Andrzej Cibis also became infected.
