Change of candidates on “Let’s Dance”: Instead of the athlete Simon Brunner, motivational trainer Biyon Kattilathu will dance in front of the cameras from the end of February. The 39-year-old has recently been very present in the media – but rather involuntarily.

Almost four weeks before the start of the new “Lets Dance” season, there is another change in the line-up: Because the freerunning athlete Simon Brunner cannot take part, he will take part instead Biyon Kattilathu enter the dance floor. RTL announced this on Friday evening. “I’m really happy to be part of ‘Let’s Dance’ and am very grateful that I was given this opportunity! A dream is becoming reality – so beautiful! It’s going to be an amazing journey,” explained Kattilathu in the press release. At the introductory show on February 23rd, the motivational coach will also find out who his dance partner will be.

The 39-year-old was the focus of the media, especially in December: After separating from his wife Amira, comedian Oliver Pocher publicly accused the motivational coach of having had a relationship with Amira. To represent his new enemy image, Pocher created his own fictional character, “Dalai Karma,” for his comedy program. Among other things, he attended a performance by the motivational coach in Euskirchen and sought direct confrontation with Kattilathu.

Kattilathu himself denied having a romantic relationship with Amira. “That’s not true! We didn’t have a love affair, we don’t have a love affair,” explained the 39-year-old in a video published on YouTube in mid-December. He also submitted an affidavit. Amira Pocher also denied a relationship in an interview with “Bunte” in November.

Aside from the rumors about a relationship with Amira Pocher, Kattilathu is touring the country with his program “Live, Love, Laugh” and many of his shows are sold out. On his tour he wants to help visitors gain more self-esteem and give life tips. The 39-year-old is followed by 820,000 people on Instagram.

From February 23rd, Kattilathu will now be on a different stage. His competitors on “Let’s Dance” include actor Mark Keller, model Eva Padberg, influencer Sophia Thiel and Detlef D. Soost.
