Lenovo is gearing up to unveil a slew of new Android devices at the 2023 Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas. The Motorola parent company announced one of them today: the Android tablet Lenovo Tab M9, which will be available soon for 159 euros.
Specifications of the Lenovo Tab M9
Lenovo offers a wide range of Android tablets, ranging in size from 7 inches to 8 inches up to the last tested Lenovo Tab P11 Pro pass. Now Lenovo is launching another compact variant with a 9-inch IPS screen, comparable to Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A7 Lite with an 8.7-inch display.
The Lenovo Tab M9 has an IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels. It’s not as spicy as that iPad Mini 6 (Review), but for its cheap price it is more than adequate. The Lenovo tablet is very robust thanks to an aluminum housing. In terms of camera technology, it is very modest with a 2 MP front camera (with Face Unlock function) and an 8 MP main camera. Nevertheless: Full HD videos are still possible with the rear camera. The built-in stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos also make consuming music and videos a pleasure.
Under the hood of the Lenovo Tab M9 is a MediaTek Helio G80 paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal program storage. Almost out of the ordinary, the microSD card slot with which the memory can optionally be expanded up to 2 TB. The battery capacity is specified as 5,100 mAh and, according to Lenovo, lasts for up to 13 hours of video playback.

Lenovo Tab M9 variants and prices
The Lenovo Tab M9 is available as a Wi-Fi only device or with a 4G cellular connection. Regardless, both variants have Bluetooth 5.1, a USB-C port and GPS. The tablet runs on the Android 12 operating system and comes with pre-installed apps for children and adults such as Google Kid Space and Netflix.
According to Lenovo, the Tab M9, which weighs only 350 grams, will be available in Arctic Gray and Frost Blue from February 2023. Prices for the base model with 3 GB of RAM start at 159 euros. Interestingly, a folio case with a kickstand function is also offered. The Lenovo Tab M9 will be presented at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) from January 5th to 8th, 2023 together with the Motorola ThinkPhoneIdeaPad Pro 5 and 5i and IdeaPad Slim 5 and 5i officially launched.
