After a fire, two dead people and one seriously injured person were found in an apartment in Leipzig. Now two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A fire in a Leipzig building Prefabricated construction has presumably turned into a murder case. As the police and public prosecutor’s office announced, two young people were arrested on strong suspicion of double murder. The two suspects have been in custody since Sunday.

A fire was initially reported in an apartment in the Paunsdorf district on Friday night. The emergency services found two dead and one seriously injured. Investigators did not provide any information about the background, age or identity of the victims.

In the course of the investigation, suspicion of a homicide emerged, the authorities said. An arrest warrant has been issued against the two young people on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and particularly serious arson.
