A host of celebs are set to testify in April’s Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard lawsuit. James Franco and Elon Musk will be there.

The lawsuit between Amber Heard (35) and Johnny Depp (58) will soon enter a new round. As the Associated Press news agency reports, a large number of celebrities will attend the trial in the coming month. According to this, “Wanda Vision” star Paul Bettany (50), Tesla boss Elon Musk (50), actor James Franco (43) and representatives of the Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. and the Los Angeles Police Department are on the witness list to stand. According to the report, the trial is scheduled to begin on April 11 in Virginia.

What does James Franco know?

As early as December 2021, it was reported that James Franco could be involved in the lawsuit. According to “Page Six”, the 43-year-old should explain how close his relationship with Heard was. Depp’s lawyers also want to ask the actor if he saw Heard’s alleged injuries, the New York Post celebrity page reported. Depp’s lawyers are said to have subpoenaed Franco because surveillance video from May 2016 shows the actor with Heard in front of an elevator.

Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Heard

Depp has filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife. The actor is suing Heard in Virginia over a 2018 Washington Post article in which she spoke about domestic violence. She did not mention her ex-husband by name. Depp has always denied any allegations.

Depp and Heard married in 2015. The couple separated in 2016 and divorced in early 2017. Since then there has been a war of roses, in which both parties have accused each other of domestic violence, among other things.
