A spokeswoman for the Dresden Higher Regional Court said the files will be handed over to the Federal Court of Justice. However, the judgment of the Chamber must first be in writing. The spokeswoman has not yet been able to provide any information on the expected duration of the revision process.
Long prison sentences
Lina E. and three other men were on May 31 by the State Protection Senate of the Higher Regional Court for membership in a criminal organization or sentenced to several years in prison because of their support. Between 2018 and 2020, they are said to have attacked and attacked right-wing extremists with varying degrees of participation.
All four convicts are currently at large. The arrest warrant for Lina E. was issued on the evening of the verdict suspended under certain conditions. By then, the 28-year-old woman had been in custody for more than 2.5 years. The penalties are only to be served after a final conviction, it said last Wednesday. If there is a risk of absconding beforehand, arrest warrants can also be issued earlier.

The process began in September 2021. While the verdict was still being pronounced, there had been loud protests from the left-wing scene in the courtroom. In the days that followed there were several demonstrations in Leipzig Riots between protesters and the police. The Interior Committee in the Saxon State Parliament wants to deal with the riots following the verdict on Monday 12 June.
