Lecture on the development of the Zornedinger Daxenberg – Ebersberg

Every fourth Zornedinger lives on the Daxenberg, the youngest and, with 2,600 residents, the second-largest district of the community. It is now the subject of a local history lecture on Thursday, March 9, 7 p.m. in the Martinstadl, supported by the community. With the help of 70 photos, historian Peter Maicher tells about “Half a century on the Daxenberg – history and stories of a large settlement”. He draws the line of development from the time when Daxenberg was not inhabited to the present day.

Maicher embeds the growth of the settlement in local political events and the majority in the town hall. It illuminates the coexistence of the new citizens and their integration in the community. In addition to the municipal reform of 1978, the large settlement on the Daxenberg brought about the most drastic change in the community – Maicher will go into both positive and negative aspects. Admission to the lecture is free.
