Squatters kill apartment owner in New York
In many states in the United States, laws state that anyone who occupies a building for more than 30 days is considered a tenant. This leads to many “serious confrontations,” according to New York Rep. Jake Blumencranz, and is believed to be fatal for a 52-year-old woman in Manhattan.
