Laurent Wauquiez, who has not yet announced his candidacy for the regional elections in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, still appears to be the big favorite in the poll. The current president LR is credited with 31% of the voting intentions in the first round,
according to an Ipsos Sopra / Steria survey conducted with 1,000 people for France Television.
It would thus precede the list of the National Rally, led by Andrea Kotarac (19%) and that of LREM-Modem, carried by Bruno Bonnell (16%).
Najat Vallaud-Belkacem left behind in the 1st round
The candidate of the Greens, Fabienne Grébert would come in fourth position by collecting 13% of the vote, which would allow her to overtake the former Socialist Minister of National Education Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, credited with 11% of the voting intentions.
The list supported by the PCF and La France insoumise, led by Cécile Cukierman, would bring together 5% of the voting intentions, Gerbert Rambaud (Debout for France) 3% and Chantal Gomez (Lutte Ouvrière), 2%.
Whatever the scenario and the configuration of the lists present, Laurent Wauquiez would be sure to win in the second round. In case of quadrangular, he would win with 34% of the vote, according to the poll. Same thing if the Greens and the PS came to merge their lists. The elections will take place on June 20 and 27.
