Laurent Wauquiez launches a regional mutual in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

This was a campaign promise in the event of re-election. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, chaired by Laurent Wauquiez, announced this Tuesday that it would set up a regional mutual. The device will be presented to the press on Friday.

“Faced with rising health expenses and in order to act in favor of the purchasing power of residents”, the community explains that it wants to “mobilize supplementary insurance operators” in order to “offer advantageous offers to people who do not have assistance with subscription”.

Launched in 2014 for the first time in a village in Vaucluse, the “communal mutual” formula, intended for the unemployed, retired or self-employed workers with limited income, then gradually developed. Other communities, such as the city of Nice, have implemented it.
