Anyone who has never seen one of the comedies with the world crook Egon Olsen should start with the seventh of the 14 films, “The Olsen Gang Sets the Course”, for current reasons. After he once again had an “ingenious”, basically even “dead certain” plan, Egon Olsen is sitting logically and again: in prison. There, in his unbroken belief that he would still arrive on the sunny side of life, he learned the timetable of the Danish state railway by heart. The aim is to win back the Olsen Gang’s gold that was hijacked in a vault. Does this work? Of course not. Just on the day of revenge, the railway changes to its summer timetable, everything gets mixed up, in the end a signal system fails and the state railway finally sinks into chaos.
