John Lennon recorded “Now and Then” in his New York apartment in the 1970s. After his murder in December 1980, his widow Yoko Ono gave the other former band members the demo cassette with Lennon’s voice and piano accompaniment. They edited and added to the demo track, but the technology at the time was not sufficient to extract the deceased’s voice in sufficient quality. But with the help of AI, this was now possible.
