Larger extension: Apple offers these 20 new games in the Arcade subscription service

Apple has added 20 titles to its Arcade subscription service. It’s one of the biggest additions in the history of the service, totaling 200 titles. For comparison, 50 titles were added throughout 2022. The current addition includes some popular games from the App Store such as Temple Run+, Limbo+ and PPKP+.

New games include TMNT Splintered Fate, themed around Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Disney SpellStruck, a spelling challenge game. The comedy division owns the indie title “What The Car?” on, a racing adventure with unconventional racing cars.

Cityscapes: Sim Build fans may be interested in city building simulations. However, the focus here is on sustainability. It is important to balance the basic needs of citizens such as housing, work and utilities, while at the same time taking into account the impact of industry and transport on the environment.

“Chess Universe+” is aimed at chess lovers and can be played both online and offline. Disney and Pixar characters can be colored in Disney Coloring World+. Also from Disney is the Disney Getaway Blast+ game, a match-3 puzzle game.

In “Farming Simulator 20+” you have to harvest and take care of the cattle. With the sale of the goods, new investments are financed. There are 100 realistic vehicles and tools from popular brands. “Getting Over It+” is a platform game about climbing a mountain. You can also aim high in “Hill Climb Racing+”, a physics-based racing game.

Iron Marines+ is a real-time strategy adventure in a sci-fi setting from the creators of the Kingdom Rush saga. Kingdom Two Crowns+ is a side-scrolling micro strategy game with a minimalist feel wrapped in a modern pixel art aesthetic. You take on the role of a monarch on his steed and recruit loyal subjects, build kingdoms and protect them from greedy creatures who want to steal coins and the crown.

“Playdead’s LIMBO+” is an award-winning puzzle platformer and indie adventure. In “My Town Home – Family Games+” players can create their own family history and participate in role-playing games. “Octodad: Dadliest Catch+” is the sequel to the title “Octodad” and is about an octopus who poses as a human.

In “PPKP+”, a city is suddenly attacked by creatures from the Monster Corps that must be defeated. “Snake.io+” is an adaptation of the classic. As a small snake you have to eat pellets or other snakes to grow and become the biggest snake on the board.

Temple Run+ brings the original Endless Runner to 4K. Players can test their reflexes in the treasure hunt on iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Apple TV. Time Locker+ is a minimalist shooter from solo developer Sotaro Otsuka. The speed of time is controlled by the speed of the player’s finger. You control a character through a series of time-based levels in which you must avoid obstacles and enemy fire while attempting to defeat a variety of creatures. In “Very Little Nightmares+” a girl must be helped to survive in a hostile mansion. Players must navigate through a maze full of life-threatening traps.

Apple Arcade was launched in 2019 and completely dispenses with advertising and in-app purchases. The monthly subscription costs around 5 euros. The game subscription is also part of Apple’s larger subscription offerings (Apple One). The games are available in families of up to six people.
