According to information from defense circles, the Bundeswehr will have 50 armored personnel carriers of the type puma order. The order has a volume of 1.5 billion euros, it was said in the circles on Friday. The Puma from the manufacturers Rheinmetall and KMW is said to be the infantry fighting vehicle marten replace, some of which have already been delivered to Ukraine. The companies could not immediately be reached for comment. The puma made the headlines at the end of last year because several of the armored personnel carriers had failed due to technical defects during a Bundeswehr exercise. Since then, the Department of Defense and manufacturers have worked together to correct the deficiencies.
