The trial hasn’t even really started yet, and the mood at the district court in Landsberg is already at its lowest point. A nationally known doctor and homeopath from the so-called lateral thinker milieu is accused of having issued mass quantities of false mask certificates during the pandemic with the help of two assistants. But because one of the two assistants submits a certificate at short notice – she does not feel able to take part in the hearing – the judge wants to separate the proceedings against this woman. The defenders of the doctor and the second assistant don’t like this at all, they complain that a separation is not possible and request a break of 30 minutes.
