The Free State of Bavaria is likely to increase its influence over BayernLB – a good fifteen years after rescuing the Landesbank during the financial crisis. According to a report from the specialist service Platov The Free State’s share in BayernLB may rise from 75 to around 80 percent. The share of the Bavarian savings banks would probably fall from 25 to around 20 percent. Neither the Ministry of Finance nor the bank or savings banks wanted to comment.
