Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato: super sports car for off-road presented

Even in a post-apocalyptic world, you don’t want to leave your Lamborghini behind. However, such a Huracán does not fit on rough roads or off the beaten track. Unless you own the recently presented special model Sterrato. Translated, this means something like “gravel road” or “hard shoulder”.

The direction in which things are going is therefore already in the name: the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato is a super sports car for rough terrain, on which one would rather not expect the flat flounders. In order for this unusual concept to work, the model differs significantly from a conventional Huracán.

The Lamborghini has 610 hp, but stays below 300 km/h

At the heart of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato beats a V10 engine with 610 hp, which accelerates the missile to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.4 seconds. The top speed is 260 kilometers per hour, which is probably mainly due to the tires.

The Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato is fitted with special Bridgestone Dueler off-road tires and is 44 millimeters higher than the base model. The car weighs 1,470 kilograms when empty and 1,499 are to be built from February 2023.

Lamborghini has also installed extras on the body that are highly unusual for a super sports car. There are two elongated auxiliary headlights on the front apron, which provide better visibility when the lighting on the route is no longer sufficient.

Quite rustic fender flares are used on the sides, which not only have a certain Mad Max flair, but are mainly due to the wider track. Lamborghini has also reinforced the side skirts.

So that the vehicle is not damaged on the underside, there is also an aluminum underbody protection at the front. In addition, the wheel arches and the rear diffuser have been reinforced.

Special features also in the interior, open price

Inside, a digital roll and pitch display to measure the vehicle’s pitch angles, a compass, a display of geographic coordinates and a steering angle display indicate the Huracán Sterrato’s spirit of adventure.

The few examples that Lamborghini wants to build from the off-road racer will roll off the assembly line from February 2023. The company does not reveal anything about the price, the configurator refers to a dealer after individualization is complete. “Car picturesuspects that the vehicle will cost “well over 300,000 euros”. If that is too expensive, we recommend a look at the Porsche 911 Dakar for a slim 265,000 euros. Unlike the Lamborghini, there is also a roof tent for the Zuffenhausener. Unfortunately, the Italian flounder seems to lack such survival equipment, even if the roof rack has it.
