Childhood dreams usually have something unreal. Living in a castle, for example. For Marilena Gabana, on the other hand, this has always been everyday life, although she does not come from an aristocratic family. The dainty little lady with short burgundy hair was born 60 years ago in the shelter of the residential castle of Padenghe and stayed there. The municipality is located between Salò and Desenzano on Lake Garda in the Valtènesi region, which is little known even to many Lake Garda connoisseurs and even to locals. But how did simple villagers get their own castles here?
