Laeticia Hallyday files a complaint against C8 for “public insult”

Yet another complaint against C8 and its broadcast Do not touch My TV. Laeticia Hallyday, widow of Johnny Hallyday, filed a complaint for “public insults” after one of her daughters, Joy, was insulted by a columnist from Cyril Hanouna on her show TPMP announced Monday the lawyer of Laeticia Hallyday, Me Gilles Gauer.

This complaint, with a civil action, was filed with the dean of the investigating judges of the Paris Court of Justice. Simultaneously, a report to Arcom, the media regulatory authority, was launched for “violation of the obligation to respect human rights” and “violation of the obligation to control the antenna” .

“It’s super vulgar, with his tongue, his mouth, his tits…”

January 30, TPMP broadcast a video sequence that Joy Hallyday, 14, appearing in particular in a swimsuit, had published and then deleted from her TikTok account, but relayed in the meantime by a fake account usurping her identity.

Kelly Vedovelli, one of the star columnists of Cyril Hanouna’s show, felt on the air that this video was “the height of vulgarity”. “For me, it’s super vulgar, with his tongue, his mouth, his tits …”, she added. “Whether it’s her or another teenager, you can’t do that!” Because it’s the new generation, we have the right to be “te-pus” [putes en verlan] ? No but stop, ”said Kelly Vedovelli again.

For Me Gilles Gauer, the Hallydays’ lawyer, “such remarks go beyond the permissible limits of freedom of expression when their victim is a 14-year-old teenager”.
