Lady Gaga and her godchildren: Elton John’s sons showed up with the singer at their father’s Oscar party.
The Oscar event for his AIDS foundation took place without him this time: Sir Elton John (75, “Rocketman”), who collects money for his AIDS foundation every year on the night of the Oscar award ceremony, was able to do so for the first time in 30 years unable to be present in person at his party on Sunday due to tour scheduling conflicts. However, the singer was well represented: In addition to husband David Furnish (59), their two sons Elijah (born 2013) and Zachary (born 2010) appeared at the event. Lady Gaga (36) insisted and posed in a romantic tulle dress hand in hand with the two boys for the photographers. The duo wore dark blue suits with ties for the special occasion. Elton John, meanwhile, posted a photo of the four performing and wrote: “So sad to miss these family photos but I send my love to everyone in support of the Elton John Aids Foundation. It means the world to us!”
Sir Elton John has been in a relationship with his husband David Furnish for almost 30 years. The Canadian film producer and the British singer met at a Halloween party in 1993. The couple has been in a registered civil partnership since 2005, and they married in 2014. Their love was crowned by the two sons who were carried by a surrogate mother. Godmother Lady Gaga is a close family friend.
