Thomas Kingston (1978 – 2024) died on February 25th at the age of just 45. Now the funeral service for the husband of Lady Gabriella (42) was held in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace in London. As the British “Daily Mail” reports, his body was brought in a procession from Kensington Palace, the residence of his widow, to St. James’s Palace, where a burial followed in the closest circle.

Lady Gabriella is said to have been accompanied at the funeral by her parents, Prince Michael of Kent (81) and Princess Michael of Kent (79) and her brother, Lord Frederick Windsor (44) and his wife. Prince William (41), the Duke of Kent (88) and Princess Alexandra (87) are said to have been among the 140 guests at the funeral service.

Thomas Kingston, who worked as a banker, married the then Lady Gabriella Windsor in May 2019 in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Thomas Kingston’s family released a statement about his death on February 27th. It said: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother. Tom was an extraordinary man who brightened the lives of everyone who knew him. His death comes as a great shock to the whole family.”

The king expressed his sympathy

King Charles III (75) and Queen Camilla (76), who were not present at the funeral, also issued a statement through a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman: “The King and Queen have been informed of Thomas’ death and mourn with Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all who knew him, a much loved family member. In particular, Their Majesties send their heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and the entire Kingston family.”

After an autopsy, it was reported that the 45-year-old died of a “traumatic head wound.” After finding the lifeless body in Kingston’s parents’ house in the Cotswolds, a member of the family called 911, whereupon police and paramedics were called. A weapon was found near the body. According to the police, there is nothing to indicate a violent crime.
