In the future, citizens’ money will be able to be applied for via an app on your cell phone. Like that Media house Table.Media reports, the citizen’s money app is part of a digitization strategy of the Federal Ministry of Labor. It is also used to arrange appointments and place jobs.
Labor Minister Hubertus Heil said his ministry wanted to simplify internal processes and use the potential of artificial intelligence (AI). The AI is intended to speed up the processing of citizen’s benefit applications and translate complicated texts from official letters into understandable language for the recipients.
Enable more contact with citizens
Video consultations and improvements to electronic labor market registration for foreign skilled workers are also planned. Heil expects digitalization to ease the burden on authorities. This should also leave more time for direct contact with citizens. “This is an important contribution to strengthening people’s trust in the welfare state,” said the SPD politician.
