La Zarra takes stock and tackles press criticism

If she is “obviously disappointed to have flinched, to have lost” arriving 16th at Eurovision, La Zarra above all has a message for the media who have commented on her journey to Liverpool. The singer, who defended the colors of France in the competition, delivered it to them in a video montage on which she takes up her title, Obviouslywhose lyrics she modified.

The artist says first of all “proud to carry the flag of this France”, she who is “French in the act but not in the birth certificate”. She also mentions “regrets”, while insisting that she “will do it again” and “apologize each time”, visibly in reference to the “toz” that she claims to have done, which some have taken for a finger of honor at the announcement of the results of Eurovision.

“As I had dreamed”

But the main salvo is addressed to “insults in the press”. “Obviously people will attack me on my roots, my origins, but I’m proud of it like Dalida, like Edith Piaf and like Céline. Nothing surprises me anymore, nothing hurts me anymore, not even the insults in the press. I take the hits, I make my way. They will do their job, I will do mine, ”she sings, a text that she also added to her publication.

And as if to drive the point home, what she experienced “wasn’t like on TV”. “It was just as I had dreamed,” concludes La Zarra.
