One of the most prestigious cellars in France stolen. According to information from Parisian this Sunday, the starred Parisian restaurant Tower of moneyas well known for its duck au sang as for its impressive wine cellar, had several dozen bottles of fine wines stolen.
According to the daily, the restaurant filed a complaint after an inventory carried out in the cellars during the month of January 2024. “The theft would have occurred between January 2020 and January 2024,” writes The Parisian. A loss estimated at more than a million and a half euros, on nearly 80 bottles.
This gives an idea of the value of the gourmet restaurant’s bottles. For example, a 1999 bottle of the famous Romanée Conti wine – whose name appears among the bottles stolen from the gourmet restaurant – is sold for 31,200 euros.
