The Spanish soccer champions Real Madrid have suffered their second defeat of the season.
Los Blancos lost to Madrid suburban club Getafe 0-1 (0-1) in the derby, but lead the table by eight points over Sevilla FC. The Andalusians will be at FC Cadiz on Monday evening.
Enes Ünal (9th) scored the goal for Getafe. Toni Kroos was substituted for the guests in the 85th minute. After falling behind, Real missed several great opportunities.
“We were on vacation one more day,” said coach Carlo Ancelotti: “We were nervous, we lost too many balls.”
The severely weakened FC Barcelona improved to fifth with a 1-0 (1-0) at Real Mallorca. The ex-Gladbacher Luuk de Jong (44.) scored the goal of the guests.
