Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid draw 1-1 in the “Derbi madrileño”.
Brahim Díaz (24) scored the first goal of the evening in the 20th minute. This also meant the half-time break. Five minutes after the restart, Atlético’s Stefan Savic (33) scored from a corner, but the goal was canceled by VAR. Reason: Saul Niguez (29) stood in front of Real goalkeeper Andriy Lunin (24) when Savic’s header hit and thus hindered the goalkeeper – making it 1-0.
In the end, Atlético tried everything again to score an equalizer. And they succeeded: In the 90th +3, Marcos Llorente (29) scored to make it 1-1 and steal two points from his city rivals.
The draw means Real are two points ahead of Girona. On the next match day there will be an absolute top game between Real Madrid and FC Girona.
