No information has been made public since yesterday on suspicions of hacking, by Russia, of the mobile phone of Liz Truss, at the time when this one directed the foreign affairs.

But the matter was deliberately kept secret by Mr Johnson and by Simon Case, Mr Johnson’s cabinet secretary. The revelation of this incident solves the mystery of the sudden change of mobile number used by Mr.me Truss for ten years. This change had worried ministers and advisers, who had suddenly found it impossible to contact her.
The security services have been on their toes since the revelations concerning the Pegasus softwarefrom the Israeli company NSO. In April, the laboratory CitizenLab, which specializes in detecting surveillance software, announced that it had warned London of a hacking attempt with Pegasus within the Prime Minister’s Office and the Foreign Office. According to DailyMailthe phone of Mme Truss was so pockmarked that he was taken to a secure location for analysis.
A British government spokesman, now led by Rishi Sunak, declined to comment on the “individual security arrangements”adding that the executive has strong systems to protect its members against these threats.
