A 60-year-old woman died Thursday in Montcavrel, Pas-de-Calais. Her 5-year-old grandson is “in absolute urgency”. Both were mowed down by a car while riding a bicycle, we learned from the public prosecutor and the firefighters.

Driver “lost in thought”

The boy, transferred to the CHR of Lille, suffers “from a fracture of the pelvis and a cranial trauma”, indicated, to AFP, Philippe Sabatier, assistant prosecutor in Boulogne-sur-Mer. No “trace of narcotics or alcohol” was detected, underlined the magistrate.
