The King’s Speech had not been heard in London for more than 70 years. Now there is a king again, and with it the speech named after him. The “State Opening of Parliament” is the name of the ceremony, which can only happen in tradition-loving Great Britain. Before the king opens the new parliamentary season, fanfares sound, there are shouts and knocks. At around half past twelve at noon, Charles III sits. then on his throne in the chamber of the House of Lords and read out the program of his government.
