King Willem-Alexander flew the government plane himself for a state visit to Stockholm. There he arrived with his wife, Queen Máxima.

King Willem-Alexander (55) and Queen Máxima (51) are currently on a three-day state visit to Sweden. The Dutch king himself steered the government plane to Stockholm. The reported that “Daily Mail”. He often appears as a pilot or – as now – as a co-pilot. This is necessary so that he does not lose his license as an airline pilot, which he acquired in 2001.

The 55-year-old wore an elegant suit jacket when exiting the plane. His wife chose an ankle-length coat in camel. Underneath she wore an elegant nude dress with a matching hat and suede pumps.

The royals maintain a friendly relationship

The two welcomed Crown Princess Victoria (45) and Prince Daniel of Sweden (49) at Arlanda Airport. The Dutch royals then drove to the Royal Palace in Stockholm in a horse-drawn carriage. There they met Sweden’s Queen Silvia (78) and King Carl XVI. (76). An official welcoming ceremony at the palace followed, with the Dutch inspecting an honor guard. The two families then posed for photos. Princess Estelle (10), daughter of Victoria and Daniel, also joined them.
